JAS MB SPECIAL DEVELOPMENT PRE-VIEW ON THE 2ND OF APRIL
ジャスエムビーとの特別企画によるシリーズが今回で１７回目を迎えます。来る４月の２日から６日までリフトエクリュにて開催されます。今回もニューストーリーが豊富で、使い勝手とオリジナルデザインを追求した結果、生み出された作品です。是非ご覧下さい。

It will be our 17th occasion to have this special collaboration with JAS MB.It will be at the Lift ecru from April 2nd to 6th.We have new stories all over the space with original designs and usefulness combined,which created the outcome this time.Please come by take a look.

How we meet " GUSTAVO LINS "

GUSTAVON LINSとの出会い

私達がGUSTAVO LINSの作品に遭遇したのはパリコレ期間中の事だった。マレのピカソミュージアムの近くに位置するそのギャラリーにGUSTAVOの作品は展示してあった。アートなのかそれとも展示会なのか、詳細の無い展示はウインドー越しにその存在感を十分に発揮し、少なくとも私達の足を食い止めるのに十分な制動能力を発揮した。アポイント先へと向かう間のほんの数秒のそのアクシデントは、その後６年間以上に渡ったてのコラボレーションへと繋がる事となった。まず最初のインパクトは、造形的主張、それが発するメッセージは力強く、が、しかし無骨さではなくあくまでも、その卓越された技術からなし得る仕事、そしてステッチワーク。その後初めてデザイナーにあった際に彼の存在と彼の仕事が完全に線で結びついた。それは彼のオートクチュールをベースとしてして来た歴史とその技術がシンクロし、創作物になった瞬間であり、オートクチュールの持ちうる感性と技術が現代に解き放なたれた瞬間でもあった。話をすればするほど彼の物造りは彼自身の経験を反映させていることに気がつかされる。と言うのも彼が造る作品はどこか建築物をイメージさせる、というのも衣という表現方法の中で実に巧みに、そのスペース（インターナル、アウトターナル）を使い分け、その両方に新たな可能性を見いだす。リバーシブルの原理は両方が主張を持った空間的構築に他ならず、どちらかがA面でどちらかがB面ではなく、いわばどちらもA面なのである。その居住空間的発想はあとで解った事ではあるが、彼がオートクチュールを始める前に、建築家であった事を反映させている。そして彼の仕事にもっとも強いインパクトを与えたのが、他でもない着物である。その美しさ、着用した時のフォルムは欧米には存在しない物で、洋服がコンストラクチュアルな構成であるという原理（理解）に対して、コンストラクチュアルは人間の体であり、そこに衣を宛てがった時に出来るフォルムこそヒューマニティーを誇張し、そこに美が生まれる。GUSUTAVOはその発見から、現在に至まで、そこが出発点であり又、彼のゴールもそこにあるのであろう。そこにコンストラクチュアルな仕事を入れる事で、彼の作品は完成を得る。私達は彼ほど着物を理解し、長年に渡って研究しているデザイナーを他に知らない。又、そこに完全なる仕事を成立させる事のできるデザイナーを彼以外に想像する事も不可能である。

Meeting GUSTAVO LINS

The first time we encountered Gustavo Lins'work was during the Paris Fashion Week.A gallery near the Picasso Museum was the presented work of Gustavo Lins.Was it art or just expositi-　on?　It had no caption of the work,which made it unique from the other side of the window, interesting enough to make our moving feet stop.The " accident" that happened on our way to the appointment back then,left us a remark for 6 years until we then started to collaborate with one and another. The primary impact was the appeal that each models had.The message it was projecting was solid,with only the highest technique and stitch work making it possible. The point of his work was fully discovered when we met the designer himself. It was the moment where his base of haute couture became an original,creative items.It was also the moment where the concept of haute coture was related into the modern world. The more we talk to him, the more we understand that his craftmanship is based on his own personal experiense.His work reminds us of architecture,and he uses both internal and external spaces of object to maximise the possibility with the item. The ideas of reversible items are supporsed to be that both siders of the item appeals for its different causes. In another words they both are the "A" side. The atmosphere of the living space was created out of his mind and it was self explained from the fact that he was an architect before starting haute couture. However it was the Kimono that defined the uniqueness in his work. The beauty and the form of the garment when it is worn is not applicable to weatern clothing, and makes us realise that the materials cover up the human body,which is the true construction when it comes to humanity.Because Gustavo had that finding, that was his departing point and the goal at the same time. By having construtional work in it,his work is complete.We don't know other designers who understand the concept of the Kimono other then Gustavo. Also we don't think we can imagine another designer other then him,who can do this job with perfection.

EXPOSITION DE GUSTAVO LINS OPENING 17TH,MAY

来る４月１７日よりリフト・エクリュ、エタージュ、アトリエ全てのスペースを使用したGUSTAVO LINSの個展が開催される運びとなました。各スペースにて展示される作品は、ポーセリンストーリーを始め、マヌカンストーリー、２Dストーリー、Kimonoストーリーその他この個展の為だけに制作される新ストーリーと更に、新作のお披露目も含んだ内容となっております。デザイナー自身が来日して作り込む世界観は他に類を見ず、彼独自の世界観が究極レベルに表現される内容となります。是非この機会にご来場頂き、ご自身で御体感頂ければ幸いです。

On April 17th, a one-man show of Gustavo Lins will be held using space of Lift ecru,etage and the Atelier.Starting from porcelain story,mannequin story,2D story,Kimono story and other stories will be present at each space,accompanied by stories that are exclusively made for the gallery,as well as new line-up of items.His work will expose the full view of his world,in his perspecitive as he works from scratch in Japan.It will be nothing but unique and special,and would be in top quality.It would be wonderful if you take this opportunity and feel the world with your senses.

来る2010年４月１日よりO-PROJECTのセカンドセッションとして" SIGNAL "がリフト・アトリエにて開催されます。より深いコンセプトと湛然なもの造りは、その空間に招かれた者のみが体感出来うる特権。コマーシャリズムとの真逆に位置し、よりパーソナルなアプローチは表面だけを繕って行く昨今のファッションに一石を投じる。質とは何か？本質的な所を問うこのプロジェクトはまさに" SIGNAL " 以外の何者でもない。興味のある方はLift etageにて情報を入手できます。

On upcoming April 1st,2010"Signals"as the second of the "O-PROJECT"will be held at the Lift Atelier.Deeper concept and detailed crafts are the reserved experience for those who invited into the space.The more personal approach,opposing from the surface only commercialism, would drop a controversial bomb in the idea of fashion today.What defines"quality" "SIGNALS"only look at the innate side of true quality within items.If you're intersted, information can be gained at Lift etage.

DAMIR DOMA 2010-11 WOMEN'S COLLECTION IN PARIS

2010年３月３日ダミールドーマの初のショーがパリにて発表された。会場は左岸にある由緒正しきスクールで、ファッションデザイナーのショーがここで開催されるのは初めての事。全てのスタッフが緊張の中ショーが開始された。ランウェイのステージはちょうど良いパースペクティブでアンソンのサミュエル・ドリラのスタイリングが映える。厳格な空間に解き放たれたモデル達は霧の中から現代へと足早に駆け抜けて行く。緊張が解き放たれた頃、人々の拍手喝采の中ショーの幕が閉じた。ダミール・ドーマ自身が解き放たれた瞬間でもあった。
