Lift étage内にLabel Under Constructionの作品を展示発表する特別なスペ−スが誕生致しました。これはリフトがデザイナーであるLuca Laurini氏及びその仕事を支えてきたチームとのシンパシーの一環として誕生し、作品の背景にある大事なメッセージをこの空間を通じて伝達して行く事を目的としています。スチール製のサークルは、ニットが柔らかいという特性に対しての対比から来た発想で、月の光の当たる面積に対しての光の解放が与えられています。

The utmost approach space for Label Under Construction is now established in Lift étage. Three-dimension space is created as a part of the sympathy with Label Under Construction and Lift. The idea behind is to communicate the hidden story of artwork through the space. The circle made of steel is a conception that came from the comparison to their opposite attributes with a “soft” knitwear and “hard” steel and liberating light from to the area that the moonlight hits.

リフト・エタージュのリニューアルオープニングの同日、エタージュに併設する形値でリフト・ギャラリーがオープン致しました。一回目の個展として”ハンドポートレイト、手はクリエーターのアイコン展”が開催され、多数の方に作品をご覧頂きました。この個展の趣旨は、クリエーターの最大で最小のアイコンが、その手である事に着目した事に端を発しました。ものが生まれる背景、そしてそれを生み出すアイコンを世界で初めて個展という形で発表します。参加者はキャロル・クリスチャン・ポエルやリック・オウエンス、ドリス・バン・ノッテン、アン・ドゥムルメステールの他、総勢３０名程の世界を代表する方々に参加頂きました。

LIFT GALLERY has established on the day as the opening refurbished store, Lift étage. The first installation titled as “HAND PORTRAIT – Hand is the creators icon –“ is showed on the public. The main aim of the installation is to insist maximum, but minimum source of icon is originally created from by their hand. We would like to announce the first exhibition seeking background and the icon of creation. Over 30 creators include Carol Christian Poell, Rick Owens, Dries Van Noten, Ann Demeulemeester are participating into the installation.

HAND PORTRAIT EXHIBITION AUGUST,20 - ８月２０日-

" 手はクリエーターのアイコン "

人はそれぞれ固有のアイコンを所有しています。それは顔であったり、指紋であったりと...この度このインスタレーションを開催するにあたり、私達は　”手 ”に着眼しました。それはクリエーターが物造りをして行く上で、とても重要な役割を果たしているからです。例えばその手により作画が作られ、リサーチのレポートが書かれ、作品が完成していく。そして、その全てのプロセスが手によって行われ手のしわに歴史として刻印されていくわけです。言わばクリエーターの最大のアイデンティティーの象徴になるわけです。昨今、手の感触は失われつつあります。ものが生み出される過程をイメージさせる象徴が見当たりません。そこで私達はその最大で最低限の、そして固有のこのアイコンをインスタレーションという型で展示する事に致しました。

この個展で展示されるイメージは、今回の個展の為だけに用意された素材であり、総勢３０名を超える世界を代表するクリエーターの方達が、個々のアイデンティティーの象徴を 写真に込め御提供頂きました。是非この世界で初めての個展をご覧頂ければ幸いです。

Individuals have their own icons. It can be a face, fingerprint... In opening this Installation, we have put focus on “hands” as they form very important part of designs of the creators. We create sketches, write research reports, and make art works through this privilege we are born with. Each hand is different from one another, making it our biggest symbol of identity. Unfortunately, the image of hands, in other words, "the icon of creation", is slowly fading away from people's minds. To remind this maximum, but minimum source of creation we would like to present art exhibition created via the icon of individual people.

Over 30 members of world renowned creators have presented their individual symbols of identity and the materials of these images exhibited here were prepared just for this exhibition. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all creators who have participated in this exhibition.

SHARE WALL PROJECT

SHARE WALL PROJECT TILL THE 30TH OF JULY,2010 " この壁の向こうに広がる世界 "

Lift étage will be renewed on the coming August 20th 2010 with removing the wall which always existed and shared between next door since after the store is opened six years ago. This renewal project will not proceed without the understanding of the property owner. By using the wall as a ‘campus’ we would like to share a memory with all of the LIFT participators until the wall is break it down. it would be greatly appreciated of writing the thing, favorite word, picture, and the image of anything, which you come up in your mind. Thank you for your participation.

Lift etageが８月２０日にスペースの拡張オープンいたします。エタージュがオープンして以来このビルの1階は壁によりスペースを分離していました。今回この壁が取り除かれる事で新たなエタージュが誕生します。これを機に、この壁をキャンバスと考え、好きな言葉、イメージ等なんでも浮かんだ物を自由に書いて頂きたいと考えております。この企画は７月３０日迄開催されます。どうぞ御参加下さい。
