Installation by Martan Margiela " Distorsion " was held at Lift écru. This installation showed how is the process to create the piece from the fabric. all the material to set the installation in the space was imported from Paris only for this reason.
Lift Etage 05th Feb 2007 opening 05th from 11h リフトエタージェ 平成１９年２月０５日 開演２月０５日11時 " PARANOID " パラノイド パラノイドと題されたこのインスタレーションはミラノのCCPの所在する場所の一角に設営された仮の空間をエタージュ内に再現する事を目的としたプロジェクトである。その空間は全てコンクリートボードで仕切られた空間の中に、エスケープ用のラダーが中央に配備され、床は床下から噴火したのごとく、所々が爆発している。又、圧力によりフラットになった靴達や平面パターンによるアイテムや紙と革がボンディングされたアイテムそしてねじれ。時間軸のねじれを感じさせる空間はスピードと伝統が交差する場所。それらを基本コンセプトとして空間は造られた。
This project named “Paranoid” is an idea where an unreal space in Milan’s C.C.P Is being re-created within Lift étage,. That space is all divided up with concrete boards, a latter, originally for the purpose of escaping, is placed in the centre of the room and the floors seemed to have had few explosions. Shoes are compressed to flat and is bonded with papers, leathers and other flat objects to be twisted. The twist represents the twist in time, where the speed meets tradition. Making that the basic concept, the space was created.
Dans la collection '06 - '07 A/W de Carol Christian Poell qui est nommée "B-side", il a exprimé ses oeuvres qui sesont units les deux faces differents par sa "technique--double". En meme temps, les ouvrages qui sont présentés par 3D ou 2D, ont fait par des textiles variées ont caractérisé cette collection.
"B-sides", c'est a dire qu'il a deux faces differents commeun disque, donc la nouvelle découverte par la copropriété et l'accentuation des personalités est plutot une nécessité. Carol présente un symbole dans sa collection toute les saisons, cette fois-ci, on peut dire que ce " Big Glove " est le plus symbolique oeuvre.
Lift étage,Lift écru 03 31 2006 opening 11h プロジェクト７という名のこのプロジェクトはタングラムにインスパイアーされたプロジェクトで、その性質上の無限に生み出されるクリエーションの可能性をもっとも信頼出来るクリエーアー達と分かち合うという性質のものである。具体的に言うと７人のクリエーターに 個々のアイデンティーをや価値観をもっとも反映できうるプロダクトを制作して頂き、それをインスタレーション形式で発票するというものである。参加クリエーターとして：SAK,GUIDI,m.a+, LABEL UNDER CONSTRUCTION,MUNOZ VRANDECIC, REINHARD PLANKがこのコンセプトに共感しそれぞれの作品を発表してくれました。 Project7 is based on the tangram, a mathematical puzzle made up of 7 figures. The project features excellent designer presenting the product all over the world take charge of one figure along with the culture, the history and the structure. It means resistance to consume and has been presented by each of 7 designers for 7 session. The purpose of this project is to bring value and promote a limited edition production.
The tangram is a simple Chinese puzzle in the shape of a square. It consists of seven pieces five triangles, a square and a rhomboid which can be arranged to form a multitude of different shapes. Like Rubik Cube and 15 puzzle (sliding blockpuzzle), the tangram follows a mathematical principle. Many shapes and patterns can be constructed from these seven pieces, as the combinations are unlimited, we can call tangram “a puzzle without solution”.
Carol Christian Poell’s ’06 SS collection, named " U-turn", starts off with the innovative ideas in reversible items, having the characteristics of man-made items such as wires and leather on a natural material. Fittings on them such as belly jacktes and trousers are the usual but having more volume around the stomach area, allows people with their lower belly sticking out not to worry about their silhouettes when they wear them. The style was the outcome of observation, focusing and capturing the physical changes through aging in a more natural and a sensible fashion. This is a type of an antithesis to the idea of beauty in modern days, and having it reversible clears off that borderline, and questions the point of view in beauty. The presentation in Milan was done within a space covered in the form of cage. This created a psychological illusion making the people think if they were inside or outside the cage as time went by. In this occasion, Lift analyzed “U-turn” from a very unique perspective and having the co-operation with C.C.P Srl, had the installation done at both Lift ecru and Lift étage. Originally, reversible items have two sides to begin with; the front and the back. So it was unavoidable to use two places. The work was splited and at Lift ecru, a space with magic-mirrors was created in the shop, to create “reversible” with the natural sun-light coming in to change the scene of the spot. The space itself is made of mirrors so the self image “u-turns” and reflects on how you look towards the outside world.
On the otherhand, at Lift étage, a more-natural approach was used like the cage used in Milan, and having more of a circular impression using spiral carpets with buckles on them. Having the two spaces and their own installation of different styles, really emphasizes the meaning of “U-turn.”
